Every TWISTER sold and distributed in North America is packaged with two (2) end caps which are blue and two (2) inches in diameter. These end caps are to be applied onto the cut ends of your pool hose and are designed to protect those sections and to provide a finished look on your TWISER/hose assembly. Please refer to our installation instructions for proper procedure of use. Every TWISTER is packaged with one (1) angled adaptor. This unit is designed to fit between your cleaner and the section of pool hose which would connect to the cleaner. The angled adaptor, once installed on a hose line with a TWISTER also installed and in operation, is intended to alter the thrust angle of your pool cleaner. In other words, the angled adaptor dramatically changes the direction which the cleaner is pointing. TWISTER needs to be completely submerged underwater for it to function properly. Years of research and development has shown that a length of hose longer than two feet between the skimmer and TWISTER would leave too much slack and run the risk of allowing TWISTER to lift over water level to draw in air. A length of hose shorter than 2 feet would be too stubby and would allow TWISTER to rise above water level, drawing in air. The 2 foot of hose rule is applied for this reason to ensure the best performance possible for TWISTER and your cleaner. TWISTER has gone through years of development prior to release in North America, one of the considerations during development was regarding positioning of the leaf catcher. It was determined that if the leaf catcher was installed between TWISTER and the cleaner, then the leaf catcher may turn over and lose the contents and also be too much of a weight burden for TWISTER, affecting it's performance. Because of this, TWISTER was designed to take in whatever piece of debris the cleaner can take.
