The suction from the pump causes the suction-side cleaner to randomly move around the pool, vacuuming debris from the floor and sides of the pool as it goes. Suction-side cleaners are inexpensive and often do not require any additional parts or hardware to work with your existing system. Unfortunately, this inexpensive option will not work well if your existing pump and filtration system is inefficient.
