Bissell 1940 Powerfresh Steam Mop Review (Hardwood) I found that the third best steam mop for sealed hardwood floors is the Bissell 1940 Powerfresh Steam Mop.It’s lightweight, easy to use and produces hot enough steam to be used on a sealed hardwood floor. It is one that I often use on my own hardwood floors. Yes, I know what you’re going to say: If it’s so great why isn’t it the best wood floor steam cleaner overall? Well, it does have its drawbacks.For one, it can leave streaks on the floor when sanitizing for an extended period of time.  It can also get tiresome to lift up and down off of the floor while applying steam. It has to be lifted up and down continuously because the steam is always-on.The cord on this unit is also kind of short, which can be a real pain in the behind. Especially if the room you are cleaning doesn’t have a lot of outlets. Normally, this isn’t a big issue for me but I understand for some people it’s a big deal. I do love the ergonomic handle, which is why I often use it for my hardwood floors.

It may not be the best overall steamer but it is the best steam mop for wood floors. At least, it is in my opinion.A word of caution: I don’t recommend you use it on unsealed wood flooring.
